Our commitment to your privacy
Sound Hawk Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates shawkstudio.com and develops Combo Dyn audio software. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it — in plain language. By visiting shawkstudio.com or using Combo Dyn, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or software.
We will never sell your personal information to third parties. That is not something we do, and it is not something we plan to do.

02 — INFORMATION WE COLLECT
What we collect, and when
Information you give us directly. When you purchase a license, join a beta program, or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider — we do not store your card details.
License and registration data. When you activate Combo Dyn, we may collect your license key, email address, and basic system information (operating system, DAW host) for license validation and technical support purposes only.
Website usage data. Our website may automatically collect standard server log information including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to your identity unless you have separately submitted personal information to us.
Communications. If you contact us by email or support request, we retain that correspondence in order to respond and to improve our products.

We use information we collect only for purposes directly related to our business with you:

Who else may see your data
Payment processors. Purchases are handled by our payment processor under their own privacy policy. We share only what is necessary to complete your transaction.
License management. ComboDyn uses PACE/iLok technology for copy protection. Activating a license through iLok is governed by PACE Anti-Piracy's privacy policy. We share only the information required for license issuance.
Email delivery. We may use an email service provider to send communications. These providers process email addresses on our behalf and are not permitted to use that data for their own purposes.
Law enforcement. We will disclose information when required by law, court order, or a valid governmental request, and will notify you where legally permitted to do so.
Beyond the above, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any other third party.

06 — PLUGIN SOFTWARE
What Combo Dyn does on your machine
ComboDyn runs locally on your computer. It does not collect audio from your sessions, does not transmit your projects or recordings to any server, and does not monitor your creative work in any way.
The plugin may communicate with external servers solely for the purpose of license validation. This communication is limited to confirming your license status and does not transmit audio, project data, or personal information beyond what is required for that purpose.
Your music stays on your machine. We have no interest in, and no access to your audio sessions or project files.

07 — YOUR RIGHTS
Control over your information
Access and correction. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct any inaccuracies.
Deletion. You may request that we delete your personal information. We will comply unless retention is required for legal or contractual reasons (for example, to honour an active license or fulfil a refund request).
Opt-out. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your license or support.

08 — DATA RETENTION
How long we keep your data
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide you with our products and services, or as required by applicable law. When you request deletion, or when we no longer need your data, we delete or anonymize it.
License records may be retained for a period following the end of your license term to facilitate support, refunds, and legal compliance.
